This event will be Maine's largest collection of fast track racers for the 2008 season. Big crowd for July event and they all say they are coming back for this one. Looking forward to treating the MRA to some of the best that Maine has to offer.

Just thought I'd point out that David will be running 4 or 5 MRA classes at this event in addition to the local MMBA classes.

And there is also the deep mud for the slow trucks like mine.

August 9
Lawnmower Racing
Barnyard Deep Mud
5 Classes MRA
Tuff Truck Competition
Burn-out Contest

August 10
Lawnmower Racing
5 Classes MRA
8 Classes Barnyard Mud Drags

Yes, me and some of the boys are planning on going up. Probably be there friday night. I'll see you there on saturday, Randy.

I hear the track is spectacular. I have seen some pics of the track and it looks nice. Hopefully its a nice hooking track.

Track and grounds look great. Barnyard is ready and waiting. Gate will open Thursday thru Monday. Looking for some new track records this year. And yes, tighten up the wheelie bar cause the hook will be there!!

From the south take I95 North to Auburn, Maine
Take Rt. 4 North to Livermore, Maine approx 30 miles
Turn right onto Rt. 108 East, go 4 miles, Barnyard is on the right

YES, I'll be there at the gate unless its real late and I'm out like a light. Always allow campers in during the night, just set-up where you want. Expect alot of people coming in on Friday night.

Sad, but even coming from NY you are closer than me and I live in Maine!

We've got a couple of rigs coming Friday night as well...hoping to get there so we can setup the tents before it gets completely dark.

I am not sure how all the folks who traveled so far north felt, but it was enjoyable from a fan point of view. The guys and gals gave us a nice show. We don't get to see rigs with one or both front wheels off the ground much.

I should be getting some pictures and videos posted over the next couple of days on my site. I didn't think to ask for official results before I left, so hopefully David can help us there.

I also thought it was cool to see a few of folks from the MRA run in the MMBA event Sunday afternoon. Same goes for the MMBA guys who ran either day in the MRA event.

I heard a few of the boys with the rails from Maine/New Brunswick say that wanted a blower car after seeing them in action!

Just got back from a great weekend of racing at the Barnyard. This was my first time at this track and it is one of the best tracks that I have ever run on. The guys at the barnyard did everthing in their power to make sure everything went smoothly and that we had a nicely groomed track to race on. I have to say that if anyone has ever thought about going and trying this track, DO IT!!! This track was great!!!

I don't have many results from this weekend but I walked away with a first place finish in Promod cuts and 2 third place finishes in open cuts and scoops. Frank and Tina O. took first and second in both cut and scoop open classes. I stayed and ran on sunday with the MMBA after the MRA races and also took 2 first place finishes with the my fastest pass of the weekend being 2.702 in 200 ft.

I have a few pics from the weekend.Enjoy!!!

Very Happy Thank you for the positive feedback Fred. You folks were great and we very much enjoyed having all of you out at the Barnyard. Catching a little R&R today and will post the race results tomorrow.

Got the first round of pictures posted, but without captions. I have a few of each event: deep mud, MRA drags and MMBA drags.

Note those are just thumbnails and do open to bigger pictures.

I also have some videos of the drags. These are just from my still camera, so the quality is not great. Hope to get some off from my friends video camera later as well.
