So the guy that WON!! Outlaw SS would have only placed in 4th in the class below him?
Hummm think there needs to be a little seperation there?
I think the reps and racers need to watch a few races and see how this turns out, Maybe some ammo for some rule tweeks in 09.
Man a 3.45 in a super stock truck......shuuuewwwww hell I can't match that but I'll do my best too. _________________ Glenn Evans

Unless I'm mistaken, the guy that won Outlaw Super Stock also won Super Stock. It appears that he was the only one in Outlaw and may not have run has hard as he could have since he did pick up some time in Super Stock.

Let me repost that I'm not complaining just noticed a big difference and was just throwing that out there.
Hey I'm Glad to see someone run a .45, I'm looking forward to doing it in my truck so don't start SCREAMIng at me.
Just think we may need a bigger rule or two to keep the classes from running together to much is all I'm saying. _________________ Glenn Evans

glenn the guy who won superstock was from west virginia i believe and he had a first class ride from what i could tell. i think his truck is set up for west virginia super street rules and i was told it still weighed 4000 pounds. i was in the hole behind him and he spun hard for 60 ft. i think on a good track he could go mid .30s easy. if the mra is as successful as everyone wants it to be and we see some purpose built superstock trucks i would look for some times in the low .30s or high .20s in the next season or two

Hey Nick thanks for the info but WOW!!! .20 or .30's I guess progression is a understatement huh.
I guess I need to do some more homework and put the driver and the truck on a diet if all these trucks are over 4000lbs I got to find a way to be 3600.
Anybody got some rice cakes and a plasma cutter--lol. _________________ Glenn Evans

Pure fury i definitley plan on doin my home work and have all year to do it before i decide to build a new truck that completley takes advantage of superstock rules. you are correct that it is one bad ass ride but then again everyone is chasin a leader in their class right? glenn you definitley need to put it on a diet and i seen too that an apro motor is not gonna cut it. im just waitin to see if they are gonna let us have the a heads before i do anything

I'm pretty sure the A heads are gonna be a NO!
Since that guy (Steve?) is running those time on 23degree heads.
So our best bet are SCJ's or maybe the ford factory almn. hemi heads.
I'm gonna have to talk to Kaase and see what kind of numbers they are before I do any motor work myself.
Guess the 5 year old A-pro/Street vacuum motor needs to retire huh? _________________ Glenn Evans

Don't rule out the A460 head yet.
There is on going talks with the head issue.
I am not saying they will be allowed but I am also not saying they will be outlawed. _________________ Mitch Mitchell

glenn there has been some talk of lettin the aheads in with a weight penalty. that would be ok for guys like us with full size trucks cause 3800 is bout light as i can get with out building a mini truck and i dont really want to do that. so if i can get a better head and not have to build a new truck and the only thing i have to do is weigh more im all for that. shoot mine weighs 4120 right now. as far as the hemi kaase claims more power than the aheads but i think there is a waiting list for them.

oh as far as weighing more if you run a heads thats a stupid idea! maybe make big cheifs and c heads and up weight 500lbs or maybe more but not the a head guys.... _________________ Eric Bidlack

I don't want to everybody bitching about heads again so I'll just wait and see what the reps come up with but... the weight idea could get ugly....a 700+ci c-headed motor in a 5000lbs truck would still woop me so.
I think I like the head rule in SS maybe let the A's in OSS???just a thought,
It would help separate the class's anyway. _________________ Glenn Evans
