last year they had 4 cars so it took two passes to win it. If 8 cars show up then you'll have to make three. They give you plenty of time in between rounds. There is one guy with a BAE hemi in a little altered and another guy with a jeep funny car with a blown BBC. The others had tube chassis trucks. Unless somebody else shows up I think a good class 5 or 6 car could give them a run for the money!!!

Thanks Tom.... I dont know if Ican show them much, but it does sound like the same thing only different...lots of fun! And the 300' is tempting! I`ll see how the schdule goes.

I`ve poked around on the sand drag site and those guys are serious! Well, something to work towards. There are a lot of really good events this year and with fuel around 5$ a gallon it is killing everyone to get there. Actually there are more good races everywhere in the country than ever before and now we cant afford to go.

Rumors have it that the prices are ready to drop some. Guess we will find out soon if they do.

Go for it Chuck Very Happy or anyone else that is within driving distance of them. All I can add is that if you have never done 300' - you owe it to yourself to try it. This is an excellent track, very well maintained. I ran there last year and would go again - Great bunch of people up there.

The Pro Truck shootout is brackets - almost any Pro-stock (and many Outlaw Super-Stock's) can make the field (as I said my old class 3 jeep (with scoops) ran 4.0's in 300'. (with DOT's) ran 3.0's in 160' and 3.3's in 200') If you have been itching to use those scoop tires? Now is your chance.

I think the estimates are over 30 trucks in the Pro Truck class and I'm not sure about the Fastest 4x4 class. I'd say 6 to 8. There's a pretty big group of us heading up from OH and IN. Plus they are running their regular show which is a lot of bracket classes plus top alcohol dragsters. It should be a good time.

The whole area up there is a vacation destination. Lots to do and see. They give out time slips with E.T. & MPH!! We never get that...I can't think of anything cooler than having a time slip that said 3.00 at 120+ and a trophy that says your the fastest 4x4 on the PLANET!!! Lets not forget a cool grand!

I was planning on it ad I have my reservations at silver creek rv resort but now I found out my class reunion is the same night. So I am going to go to the test and tune on friday night and drive home saterday afternoon and try it again at the nationals. I don't think I would quite make it in on time any way. If I did it would be barely. Do I need to be a member to run at the nationals the next weekend?
