hey reps??? What do you think about this, we've all been there just starting out and the first thing we change on our hunting truck is the cam is that guy not going to get to race in this class? because it won't pull vac. and he drove it there. Just thought I'd throw it out there for you to consider.

It shouldnt be hard to pull that vaccum, our stock class requires 18" @ 1000 rpm and they can get a pretty radical hyd cam to pull the vaccum with no problems

Most guys I know make their changes in the following order:

*stereo
*J C Whitney bolt-on stuff
*tires
*lift & bigger tires
*Headers
*Carb & intake
*gears
*and THEN maybe a cam change.

Cam definitely isn't the "first" thing most change, or even close to it IMO. And to be honest, I've had pretty good luck running a 19" at 1,000 RPM class for several years. The guys West of me who have a 17" class had to add in a PURE stock class BENEATH their 17" class, because the 17" class was becoming too "race-like". Shocked

Thats great...J C Whitney huh???
OK you all keep saying 1000 rpm's but the rules said 800rpm's. At 1000rpm's I think it would be ok.
Maybe I'm just a different kind of guy cause the stereo and the J.C. stuff won't help it go faster....but thats just me...LOL

I think your average guy in THIS class hasn't made the committment to only making mods that make him go faster.
