i just switched gears to run 33" anyway so those might work well. are they the super scoops? i have a set of sand tires but i'm not sure i will get them to hook so that is why i would be interested in trying a set of super's
i can try mine 1st next friday and if they don't work maybe i can try them at the track.

Full coverage and results from the weekend.

We had an awesome time. The people at WMSD are some of the friendliest in the business and did some really neat "outside the box" things. Like having run races on the return road during an intermission. Or having one of those big air-filled bouncy things for the kids to play in (that's the technical term for it... i think... lol). Worked our tails off though... lol

Only 5 cars ran in the 4x4 challange this year. The Big Hemi car didn't make it. Congradulations to Brain Mcwelthy and the "Unique" funny jeep. Its really a shame no mud racers showed up. I think a good class 5/6 car could have won the $1000.

Yep that was it. The BAE car didn't get their block back in time after windowing it a couple weeks ago. I really look forward to this race getting bigger. The other class that was highlighted was the pro truck class. Don't exactly know how many cars they had but it looked like a very good turn-out.

25 trucks showed for the pro truck shootout. It was a great weekend, I was beat by the end.
We will see how Bergers jeep does with my scoops this weekend.

Sounds like it was a good time. I missed it (like everything this year) maybe next year. 25 cars for the Pro-truck shootout is a good turn out for this year with the gas prices and all and I agree with Intruder - it is basically class 6 (in our rules) just sand and 300' - there are some pretty bad rides up that way - I would really like to see this type of race expanded to other areas.

I noticed their site was down (for a while now) hope Mike gets it going again. As for the race I am sure Issac, Rich and everyone at WMSD did their usually great jobs.

p.s. did Tony sell the "Unique" car??

Mike has been posting updates on the sanddragcentral.com home page. He's currently rebuilding the forum.

Tony didn't sell his car, he just repainted and renamed it.

Terry you were missed--a lot of people were asking about you!
As far as expanding the race to other areas I have some ideas that will be explored but for now we will start the SHOW ME THE MONEY push for the new ionia track in Michigan
