Could it be possible to change the tire rule for this class? We can take a vote on it.. Being that there is no points to worry about right now. I do believe there would be more participants to enter the class if it were cuts.
Everyone that i talked too agrees to it. Maybe you reps could tweek on the rule. You guys are racers and hopefully you feel the same.
The truck count would be probably larger than it has been in the first part of this season. Just something to look at!!!
I'm sure you would have everyone's vote on it down here in Florida were there are mostly pro trucks. _________________ RACE ON!!!

The rules are set for 2008, but it's never too soon to start campaigning for changes for 2009. _________________ Scott Graham

Sounds good to me!!! Then want have to change tires from pro-stock to outlaw pro-stock. I'll have to agree with Rick the cuts sure do work better than the dots Them ole dots get slippery some time in shut-down _________________ LET THE LOWSIDE DRAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point Weight would have to be factored into any change in the tire rule.
As Scott said - the rules are set for 2008. Discussions for 09 will most likely be started around October. That will give us time for them to be voted upon and put in place by the end of November. So they will be ready for the off season.
Just remember - we do not have to reinvent the wheel each season. Sometimes small changes are all that's needed to make things better. _________________ terry slocum

OK - another good question.
Please understand that this is My Opinion alone and nothing has been finalized by the Board members.
My view on this is - The board will open this topic for discussion by the mud racing community at the appropriate time. (most likely in the fall).
When all of the changes that are requested by the racers have been submitted to the Board and are then finalized by the Board as to language and content. They will then be presented to the MRA Membership for finial approval. (a vote)
Only MRA members will have a vote and I do not anticipate it being on the open forum, But on write in ballets or e-mail. I urge anyone who wishes to have a finial say in the process - That they become a member. _________________ terry slocum

The members will definitely have some say - be it a direct vote, or via some other method. One has to be careful with a direct vote though as racers sometimes have a tendancy to do things that just make things easier or "better" for themselves w/o always thinking of the long-term consequences. Example - making class "3" and class "4" SOOO much alike that we essentially have no choice but to kill off one of those classes. So, careful what you wish for
